ThunderBlast 2012: Rock The Block!

Do you want to rock-n-roll all night and do science every day?  Enjoy Thunder Over Louisville at the Louisville Science Center's 14th annual family-friendly fundraising event, ThunderBlast!

ThunderBlast guests will enjoy:

• Indoor and outdoor family activities - NEW this year: Sound Garden and Music Stage. 
• Explosive science demonstrations.
• A picnic-style meal included (other food and beverage vendors available).
• A riverside view of the Thunder Over Louisville festivities inside a secure, outdoor area reserved for ThunderBlast guests only.
• Indoor restrooms.
• Inflatable Bounce House and Obstacle Course.
• Science Center exhibit galleries, including GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World, presented locally by AT&T.
• Discounted tickets to IMAX.

    Parking*:  $10 per space. 

Hint… Avoid traffic!  ThunderBlast guests have the opportunity to purchase advance tickets to a post-fireworks (10:15 p.m.) IMAX film, To The Arctic.

* Parking is located in the Advocacy Parking Garage at 8th and Jefferson Streets, which is two blocks south of the Science Center.

Note: You will receive an email with a PDF confirmation letter from the Louisville Science Center within 5-7 business days after purchasing your ThunderBlast tickets.  The confirmation letter serves as your ticket to the event; you will need to print it and bring it with you on April 21. All event details will also be noted in the letter.  Additional updates on the event may be shared via email.

Admittance to ThunderBlast will begin at 2pm; the air show begins at 3pm; and fireworks begin at 9:30pm. No tents, coolers, alcohol, food, or drink are permitted. Guests may bring chairs/blankets and set them up in the outdoor ThunderBlast seating area.  Personal umbrellas - no larger than a golf umbrella – strollers and small wagons are permitted.

100% of net ThunderBlast proceeds benefit the Science Center's vision of creating a more scientifically literate society who is empowerd to ask questions, think creatively, solve problems, and work toward a better quality of life for all.  All of the Science Center's programs create workforce connections to fill imminent and urgent needs in our community.
