If you're interested in having fun, meeting new people and helping out the Science Center, consider becoming a Science Center volunteer. We welcome teens ages 14 and older, and adults of all ages. Many of our valued volunteers are retirees who are willing to share their time and experience. 

Please join us for a Volunteer Orientation, to learn more about how you can make a difference at the Science Center!

ADULT VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
Saturday, May 10, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to noon and repeated on Monday, May 12, 2008, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Please call (502) 561-6140 or send an e-mail for information.

TEEN VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Orientation for Summer VolunTeen Program is open to all teens presently in 8th grade or above. Pre-registration is required. Please call (502) 561-6140 or send an e-mail for information.

What do Science Center volunteers do?
Science Center volunteers work in the exhibit halls and Gift Shop, greet school groups, host the information booth, help with special programs and events, and more!

As a Science Center volunteer, you will receive: 

  • Free parking
  • 20% off purchases in the Gift Shop
  • 10% off purchases at our Subway restaurant while on duty
  • Free admission to Science Center exhibits and IMAX® film previews
  • Free admission to a variety of social activities year-round
