<p>The Louisville Science Center provides a unique event venue. Rent the Riverview Room on the top floor, with its large windows overlooking the Ohio River. Or rent the Riverview Room plus the entire Science Center - with exhibits and IMAX® films - for a truly special event. Guests are encouraged to visit the exhibit halls during regular hours. Exhibit halls are available for exclusive use after regular operating hours. We offer special demonstrations, programs and activities upon request (additional fees apply). <p><strong>Catering<br />
</strong>All food and drink must be provided by one of our <a href="http://www.louisvillescience.org/site/visit-rentals/approved-caterers.html"><span style="color: #993366">approved caterers</span></a><span style="color: #993366"> .</span></p>
<p><strong>Decorations</strong><br />
All decorations must be presented to and approved by the Science Center event manager prior to the event. For safety reasons, only floating or votive candles may be used.</p>
<p><strong>Equipment</strong><br />
All rental equipment set-up and tear-down must be done by catering staff. The Louisville Science Center is not responsible for manual labor involved with events. All rented items must be removed at the conclusion of the event. The Science Center is not responsible for loss or theft of personal property at any rental event.</p>
<p><strong>Parking</strong><br />
After 6 p.m., parking is free. Before 6 p.m., the fee is $5.</p>
<p><strong>Private Events Only</strong><br />
The renter may engage the premises for a private event only. No admission will be charged, nor may tickets be sold on or off the premises, or advertising be placed announcing the event. Fund-raising events are permitted only on behalf of the Louisville Science Center. The Science Center's 501©(3) not-for-profit status prohibits rentals to political advocacy groups.</p>
<p><strong>At Time of Booking...</strong><br />
There is a $150 refundable damage deposit due at the time of booking, as well as a non-refundable $250 holding fee.</p>
<p><strong>Please Note... </strong><br />
Rental fee is for space use only. Catering, rentals and special AV equipment are additional.</p>
<p><strong>Smoke Free Facility</strong><br />
The Louisville Science Center is a smoke-free building due to the nature of our mission and the audience we serve. Federal laws prohibit smoking in buildings serving school children. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us remain smoke-free. (A smoking area is available just outside our Main Street entrance.)</p>
