7
"Dirty Truth About Soil" (Grades 3-5)
Gain a healthy appreciation for the ground beneath your feet. What happens when you plant something in sand? Or soil? Or potted clay? What type of “earth” is best for plant growth and how do other factors come into play? Make some predictions and test them to learn the Dirty Truth.

"H20 101" (Grades 3-5)
Explore the chemistry of the water molecule. Build your own water molecule to take home to remind yourself of the importance of water in your body!

"Foot Findings" (Grades 3-7)
What can a footprint tell you? In this focused visit students will examine casts of different animal footprints and answer the following questions: How big is the animal? Is it a predator? What was the function of the foot?

"Stormy Weather" (Grades 3-7)
The wind blows, thunder claps, lightning strikes and rain pours from the clouds. Dissect a storm and learn what makes these scientific phenomena occur! Learn about the origins of rain, the formation of clouds, and the source of thunder. What drives this meteorological engine?

"Follow that Drop" (Grades 4-8)
Where does water come from? How much is left? What is the water cycle? How and why is our water filtered? These questions will be answered through a hands-on demonstration in which students will filter a sample of dirty water using the same techniques professional use.

"Pollution Solution" (Grades 6-12)
Try your hand at being an Environmental Protection Agent! Students test water and sediment samples for environmental health hazards and decide if a fictional company is guilty of polluting its town’s water source.
