Members-Only Mornings

Members-Only Mornings are special back-to-back sessions in KidZone held every Tuesday morning from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and on the first Saturday of the month from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All activities are completed 15 minutes before the session ends.

Face Painting

Collages

Using glue sticks and magazine clippings, create a paper collage featuring your favorite things.

Magic Nuudles™

Design pictures out of Magic Nuudles, which are non-toxic, made from corn starch and stick together with a few drops of water. This activity helps to strengthen fine motor skills and enhances creativity.

Bean Seed Planting

Thaumatropes
Make your own optical illusion by completing pictures on both sides of a disc and attaching them to a straw. When the disc is spun, the two images appear to be one!

T-Shirt Chemistry

Bring a white T-shirt or use a sample piece to draw designs on with permanent markers. Then have a staff member drip rubbing alcohol on it and watch it grow! Remember to put the t-shirts in the dryer before washing them!

Make your own puppet using a paper bag and various materials. This activity strengthens fine motor skills and encourages creativity.

Solid one minute and liquid the next, Oobleck is a wonderful activity for early exploration of different states of matter. Oobleck is made of water, cornstarch, and food coloring.

Observe live mealworms, beetles, and other insects and learn how they grow and what they eat. Story time will follow.

Scratch art paper has two layers. Scratch off the black top layer to uncover the rainbow hidden beneath!

Play Doh

Sculpt it. Smoosh it. Roll it out flat. Play-Doh s a wonderful tactile activity that encourages creativity.
